Practice Manager

Arrington, LVT

Arrington has been working in veterinary medicine since 2008. She earned her degree from Penn Foster. Arrington has worked in general practice but grew into the technician she is today when she worked as a critical care technician. She brings years of hands-on experience and leadership to her role as Practice Manager. While managing our busy practice, she strives to learn and grow professionally, currently working towards becoming a Certified Veterinary Business Leader (CVBL) as well as a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM).

Inspired by her stepmother, who was a Registered Veterinary Technician, Arrington entered the field with a passion for helping animals just as she did. That passion has only grown throughout her career.

Outside of work, Arrington enjoys shopping, riding horses, relaxing at the beach, and going on as many cruises as possible. She shares her home with a lively crew: a Black Lab named Lily, a spirited Yellow Lab named Magnolia, and four cats—Queso, Taco, Tamale, and Agave. She also loves spending time with her horse, Recky, and a mini horse named Moon.

Originally from North Carolina, Arrington travels back home often to visit family. Known for bringing laughter everywhere she goes, she believes there’s always time to dance to music throughout the day—even if her dancing is “terrible,” especially on a cruise ship!

Veterinary Technicians

Meredith, LVT

Meredith is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and our Inventory Manager, bringing 18 years of experience in veterinary medicine. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College and has built a strong foundation in patient care, team support, and hospital operations. Meredith is currently focused on growing her skills in ultrasound and imaging—an area she’s passionate about advancing in.

Outside of work, Meredith loves spending time outdoors, catching movies, visiting museums, and enjoying baseball and football games. She also loves being by the beach whenever she can. At home, she shares her life with a full house of pets, including both dogs and cats.

A fun fact about Meredith: she loves matching her shoes to her scrubs—and she has a lot of shoes to make that happen!

Marissa, LVT

Marissa is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who brings 13 years of experience to our team. She earned her degree from Northern Virginia Community College and has built a diverse background working in ophthalmology, emergency medicine, management, and general practice. While she’s enjoyed each chapter of her career, Marissa’s heart is in general practice because of the meaningful relationships she forms with pets and their families.

Professionally, Marissa is passionate about pain management and is dedicated to helping improve every patient’s quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, Marissa enjoys gardening, exploring local breweries, and spending time at the lake. At home, she and her husband, Tim, share their lives with a lively crew of pets—two dogs, four cats, and a flock of ducks.

A fun fact about Marissa: she raises honeybees!

Veterinary Assistants

Teddy

Teddy has been working in veterinary medicine for over 10 years and is currently enrolled at Penn Foster to become a licensed veterinary technician. In the clinic, Teddy has a strong passion for hands-on patient care and helping sick animals feel better.

Teddy’s professional goal is to complete tech school and continue growing in the field of veterinary medicine. Outside of work, you can usually find Teddy enjoying the outdoors — especially hunting and fishing.

At home, Teddy shares life with a lively crew of pets, including four dogs (Chevy, Rooster, and Jr), one cat (Fat Cat), and a flock of chickens.

A fun fact about Teddy: He is a professional mechanical bull rider (we have yet to verify)!

Brenna

Brenna has been working in veterinary medicine for four years. Brenna is one of our veterinary assistants and she is currently studying through Penn Foster to obtain her license as a veterinary technician. Brenna’s journey in veterinary medicine has also been shaped by a very special companion — Bandit (Sept 24, 2016 – Feb 26, 2023). Losing him became a driving force behind her commitment to this field, and she carries on in his memory with the promise that she would never stop helping animals like him.

Brenna is surrounded by a full crew of cats: Clint, who is Brenna’s everything, Sonar, who is blind but doesn’t know it, Smol Cat, who is an orange female, and Grimm, who is a cat with many toes (polydactyl).

Outside of work, Brenna describes herself as “mostly a homebody” who enjoys playing video games like League of Legends and World of Warcraft, baking, and learning to crochet.

Brenna was born in Baltimore, lived in Minnesota, grew up in South Carolina, and moved to Virginia in 2016.

Kirstynn (Kirty)

Kirty has been working in veterinary medicine since 2022 and is currently studying through Penn Foster to become a licensed veterinary technician. Her goal is to grow into a skilled veterinary technician who provides the best care and experience possible for both pets and their owners.

She chose veterinary medicine because she loves helping animals and being a part of their healing journey. In the clinic, Kirty is dedicated to making every patient feel safe, cared for, and understood.

Outside of work, Kirty enjoys tanning, spending time with friends, and hanging out with her dogs—Stella, an Aussie, and Freddie, a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian mix.

A fun fact about Kirty: she learned her ABCs backwards in a dream and still remembers them to this day!

Terra

Terra has been working in veterinary medicine for more than six years and is currently attending Penn Foster to become a licensed veterinary technician. Her long-term professional goals include becoming an LVT and eventually earning her CCRP certification.

Terra chose veterinary medicine because she finds it deeply fulfilling to help and advocate for animals who can’t speak for themselves. In the clinic, she is passionate about providing compassionate care and supporting patients and their families.

Outside of work, Terra enjoys attending rodeos, gardening, baking, watching movies, reading, and spending time outdoors. She also loves riding motorcycles and once owned a Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja.

At home, Terra shares life with her family — she is married with two children — as well as her pets: a Rottweiler named Kimber and two cats, Goose and Maverick.

Fun fact about Terra: Terra is also a U.S. Army veteran and previously served as a military police officer. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Mary Baldwin University with a major in Criminology and minors in Sociology, Leadership, and Peacekeeping in Foreign Nations.

Receptionists

Tracy

With 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Tracy is one of the warm, friendly faces that greets our patients and clients the moment they walk through the door. Her professional goal is simple but powerful: to be the friendliest, kindest first point of contact for every pet and family who visits us.

Before joining the veterinary field, Tracy spent many years working in human medicine. After taking a second job in vet med, she quickly fell in love with the work—and the rest, as she says, is history.

Outside of the clinic, Tracy enjoys traveling, taking cruises, and baking. At home, she shares her life with a beloved group of pets, including Golden Retrievers, Pomeranians, and one Maine Coon cat that she admits she is completely obsessed with.

Tracy brings a lighthearted spirit wherever she goes. She loves to joke and believes wholeheartedly that laughter is the best medicine—and she’ll try to convince just about anyone of that. Her personal motto, “Positive attracts positive,” guides both her work and her daily life.

If Tracy isn’t joking around with you, she says you might want to call 911—because something is definitely wrong!

Brandi

Brandi brings 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine to our team and serves as one of our welcoming and knowledgeable receptionists. Brandi has experience as a veterinary assistant as she has worked in both emergency animal medicine and in animal dermatology. She first entered the veterinary field simply wanting a job in medicine, but she quickly discovered how rewarding it is to work with both animals and the people who love them.

Outside of work, Brandi enjoys traveling and baking—two passions that let her explore new places and flavors. At home, she shares her life with a lively crew of pets, including 9 dogs, 7 cats, 20 chickens, and 140–150 cows.

In her free time, Brandi loves gardening and has recently started learning how to can what she grows. Originally from Alexandria, VA, she now spends a lot of her downtime in West Virginia riding side by sides and enjoying the outdoors.

A fun personal fact: she is 1 of 11 kids, which has no doubt contributed to her warm, easygoing nature and ability to handle anything the day brings.
